Guardarmar de Segura sits at the mouth of the Segura River. Situated to the North of the municipality of Torrevieja and to the South of La Marina Village (Elche)

The beaches are a beautiful white sand and outside of the town they are backed by sand dunes that give way to pine woods.

The town features a large park, parque Reina Sofia, in the centre of the town. It’s lovely to walk under the shade of the tall trees with busy squirells and duck ponds to calm the spirits.

The Valenciano language is often spoken by the Guardamar locales and street signsare often labelled in Valenciano rather than Castellano.
